My inspiration for Lines and Surfaces came from my walks in subways of London. Pausing to observe in between fast-paced life became a way to knowing the city more. Paying attention to patches, marks, spills, lines, and textures that go unnoticed in everyday lived places were sources of my involvement in the city.

My repository of photographs that I took of walls, floors, ceilings became my research of visual language of an urban city like London. From that research, I chose to work with one photograph; I began to paint its shades, textures and its tactility leading to translate visual explorations into weaving. Contrasting to fast-paced life, through the slow process of weaving tapestry, I recreated the unnoticed details of urban environments.
